Taranto councilors propose public fuel network via Kyma Mobilità
In Taranto, Forza Italia councilors Massimiliano Stellato and Rosario Ungaro have submitted a motion to the municipal government proposing a public network of fuel distributors. The initiative suggests using Kyma Mobilità, an in-house company currently managing local public transport, to manage these stations.
The proposal aims to conduct a feasibility study to determine if the proximity of the local Eni refinery can be leveraged to reduce logistical costs and stabilize pump prices. If proven viable, the network could serve both municipal vehicles and private citizens, acting as a public energy hub to create economies of scale.
The councilors have requested an investigation into the technical, economic, and legal frameworks of public procurement to see if such an arrangement can be implemented within market regulations.
