Taranto defeats Spinazzola 4-0 to secure first seasonal victory

Taranto secured its first victory of the season with a 4-0 win against Spinazzola in the second matchday of the Eccellenza Puglia championship. The win also serves to nullify the team's standing penalty.

Goals were scored by Monetti, who opened the scoring in the 7th minute with a volley, followed by Corvino in the 17th minute. Di Paolantonio also contributed to the decisive scoreline. While the team showed some defensive lapses in the first half, they maintained control throughout the match.

Following the game, Taranto coach Alberto Giuliatto emphasized the need to develop a winning mentality while maintaining team balance. He addressed tactical decisions and player rotations necessitated by a dense schedule and player fitness, noting that any tension regarding substitutions, such as with player Loiodice, has been resolved.
