Taranto ex-teacher faces €249,000 asset seizure

The Guardia di Finanza in Taranto has executed a conservative seizure order against a former teacher, following a ruling by the Court of Auditors for Puglia. The seizure, totaling over €249,000, aims to recover damages caused to the public administration.

The former teacher was previously convicted by the Court of Taranto in a case involving the mistreatment of students at a local school. Following that conviction, the Ministry of Education and Merit was required to pay compensation to the civil parties involved in the criminal proceedings.

Investigations by the Regional Prosecutor's Office determined that the Ministry suffered significant financial and reputational damage. The seizure order was issued to recoup these losses on behalf of the Ministry of Education and Merit.
