Taranto: Man charged for operating unauthorized car rental business

Police in Taranto have reported a 51-year-old man for operating an unauthorized car rental business. During an administrative check at a company located on via Polibio, the Highway Police discovered that while the business was officially registered only for the online sale of used vehicles, it was also conducting driverless car rentals.

The investigation revealed that the operator was performing rental activities without the required credentials for the CaRGOS system, which is used for mandatory police communications regarding vehicle rentals. The business's position has been reported to the Prefecture for further evaluation, and the individual has been charged by the judicial authorities.
