Taranto proposes two new integrated early childhood education hubs

The Municipality of Taranto has proposed the creation of two new integrated early childhood education hubs to strengthen the educational continuum for children aged 0 to 6. The proposed centers include the ‘Monaco’ hub in the Talsano district and the ‘Moro-Ciari’ hub in the city’s central urban area.

The ‘Moro-Ciari’ hub aims to network the ‘Bruno Ciari’ municipal nursery with the ‘Renato Moro’ and ‘Rosario Livatino’ kindergartens. The ‘Monaco’ hub will integrate a new nursery service with the ‘Leonardo Sciascia’ comprehensive institute, utilizing facilities recently renovated through PNRR funding.

These hubs are designed to function as permanent laboratories for research, innovation, and community engagement, allowing for the sharing of professional expertise and educational spaces. The proposals have been submitted to the Puglia Region for review and evaluation.
