Taranto railway station launches four new elevators
Four new elevators have officially begun operation at the Taranto railway station, aimed at improving accessibility and usability for passengers. The elevators connect the underpass directly to the station lobby and the platforms. Each unit can transport up to eight people and will operate daily from 4:00 AM to 1:30 AM.
This installation is part of a broader 13 million euro restructuring and modernization plan for the Taranto station, managed by Rete Ferroviaria Italiana and funded through the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR). The project seeks to enhance infrastructure and connectivity throughout the station area.
