Tarapacá region honors five cultural and arts exponents

The Regional Ministry of Cultures, Arts, and Heritage of Tarapacá has announced the winners of the sixth edition of the ‘Guillermo Jorquera Morales’ Regional Awards for Arts, Cultures, and Heritage. The awards recognize individuals and groups for their contributions to the artistic and cultural development of the region.

In the Groups and/or Ensembles category, the Centro Conjunto Polinésico Kahuira was honored for its nearly three decades of work promoting Polynesian dance. In the Individual Artists category, the recipients include Virginia Dávalos Pomareda, Rodolfo Miranda Mesías, Williams Sembler Pino, and Francisco Villarroel Mondaca.

The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on November 5 at the Salón Tarapacá in Iquique.
