Taras Povoroznyk's Tary Camp Accused of Bullying, Defended by Influencer

A mother of a boy who attended the 2019 Tary Camp in Kamberk claims her son was bullied, saying he was locked in a cabin, began stuttering and that staff ignored his complaints. The mother says the boy wrote letters asking for his parents to pick him up, which were allegedly delayed by camp leaders. Taras Povoroznyk, known as Tary, rejects the allegations, stating that none of the former staff recall such an incident.

Online videos from the camp show children dancing to a song with vulgar lyrics and Tary displaying a luxury car worth millions, prompting public criticism. Influencer Ornella Koktová publicly defended Tary, arguing that showing the car motivates children and that the camp’s activities are harmless entertainment within a free market.

The controversy has sparked debate in the Czech media about the appropriateness of influencer‑run children’s camps and the responsibilities of adult supervisors.
