Tarbes area sees rise in summer burglaries

Residents in the Tarbes area and the Hautes-Pyrénées department are expressing concern following a series of burglaries during the summer season. In June and July, 65 formal complaints were filed in the Tarbes agglomeration regarding thefts from houses, apartments, and vehicles.

While the number of reported burglaries is slightly lower than the 73 cases recorded during the same period in 2025, local residents have turned to social media to share warnings. Reports include sightings of individuals conducting reconnaissance in areas such as Bénac and Soues to alert neighbors of potential criminal activity.
