Tareq Taylor leaves restaurant industry and appears in new travel series

Swedish chef and television personality Tareq Taylor has announced his departure from the restaurant industry. After 25 years in the Malmö culinary scene, Taylor is selling his restaurant, Kockeriet. He cited the difficulty of managing the establishment from his new home in Stockholm and his busy family life as the primary reasons for the decision.

In addition to his career shift, Taylor is featured in the television program ‘Drömlandet’, where he travels through the United States with Carina Bergfeldt. The series includes segments in Texas, where Taylor learns to cook traditional tamales, and in Louisiana, where he visits a chef who has transitioned from prison to running a restaurant.
