Tarifa leads Andalusia camping tourism in July

Camping tourism in Andalusia saw significant activity in July, with Cádiz and Huelva emerging as the leading provinces. According to data from the Institute of Statistics and Cartography of Andalusia (IECA), Cádiz recorded 321,652 overnight stays and hosted 84,539 travelers. Within Cádiz, Tarifa led the entire region with 70,208 overnight stays and 25,685 travelers, followed by Barbate with 60,181 stays.

Huelva ranked as the second most popular province in Andalusia for camping, recording 255,213 overnight stays and 56,065 travelers. While Huelva's overnight stays saw an 11.35% decrease compared to the same month in the previous year, the number of travelers increased by 12.86% year-on-year. The average stay in Huelva's campsites was 4.55 days, exceeding the regional average of 3.94 days.

Domestic tourism remains the primary driver for the sector in both provinces. In Cádiz, Spanish residents accounted for 76,728 of the 84,539 travelers, while in Huelva, 52,188 travelers were domestic. International tourism showed a decline in Huelva during the month of July compared to June.
