Tarija officials inspect conditions for potential 2027 CODASUR Rally
Officials from the South American Automobile Sports Confederation (CODASUR) are inspecting Tarija, Bolivia, to evaluate its capacity to host a CODASUR Rally event in 2027. Commissioners Ricardo Joubanoba and Diego Neuherz are currently monitoring the Rally Tarija, a national championship event, to assess the city's technical, logistical, and security standards.
Rodrigo Paz has met with CODASUR representatives to coordinate efforts between the national government, the departmental governor, and local mayors. The goal is to secure the international race, which officials believe could generate significant economic movement similar to events held in Paraguay, Argentina, and Chile. Joubanoba noted that hosting such a competition requires substantial time and financial investment, necessitating strong support from subnational entities.
