TARIMKON delegation visits Northern Cyprus to discuss agricultural cooperation

The Cyprus Turkish Businessmen Association (İŞAD) hosted Murat Subaşı, President of the International Confederation of Agriculture and Food (TARIMKON), and his delegation for a series of visits on October 6-7. The mission aimed to enhance the efficiency, sustainability, and competitiveness of the agricultural sector in Northern Cyprus, while exploring new investment opportunities.

During the program, which included İŞAD Chairman Enver Mamülcü, the delegation visited several key institutions, including the Presidency, the Embassy of the Republic of Türkiye in Nicosia, the Ministry of Agriculture and Natural Resources, and the Cyprus Turkish Farmers' Union. Discussions focused on increasing production efficiency, implementing modern agricultural techniques, utilizing technology, and strengthening agricultural cooperation between Türkiye and Northern Cyprus.

In addition to government officials, the delegation met with the President of the TRNC Exporters' Association and various investors to discuss production, processing, and export processes. Enver Mamülcü emphasized that the goal is to transform the region's agricultural potential into high economic value by creating a strong economy that focuses on value-added production and exports.
