Tarnów to serve as filming location for new Netflix series

Netflix will film a new adaptation of Maria Dąbrowska’s classic novel, ‘Noce i dnie’ (Nights and Days), in the city of Tarnów. The production is scheduled to begin filming in late September, with set construction starting in early September.

The historic Old Town of Tarnów will serve as the primary filming location, with crews working to transform various streets and squares to recreate the atmosphere of the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries. Production teams will focus on areas such as Kazimierz Square, Żydowska Street, and Wekslarska Street, while taking measures to hide modern elements like air conditioners and antennas.

Directed by Kamila Tarabura, the series will star Tomasz Schuchardt and Jaśmina Polak in the lead roles of Bogumił Niechcica and Barbara. The multi-generational saga, which follows the lives of the Niechcici and Ostrzeńscy families, is expected to premiere on the platform next year.
