TAROM Tehnic expands aircraft maintenance capabilities at Otopeni

TAROM Tehnic has expanded its authorized maintenance and repair capabilities at its base in Henri Coandă International Airport in Otopeni. Through an extension of its EASA Part-145 certification, the company is now authorized to perform both base maintenance in hangars and line maintenance during aircraft operations for several new aircraft families and engine configurations.

The new technical scope includes the Airbus A319, A320, and A321 families equipped with both IAE V2500 and Pratt & Whitney PW1100G engines. Additionally, the certification covers Boeing 737 MAX 7, 8, and 9 models equipped with CFM LEAP-1B engines.

Florin Trăilă, CEO of TAROM Tehnic, stated that this achievement is the result of months of preparation, investment, and technical training. The expansion is part of a strategic goal to transform TAROM Tehnic into a competitive Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) organization capable of supporting TAROM while offering services to third-party airlines.
