Tarquinia approves new e-bike sharing service
The municipal government of Tarquinia has approved a new bike-sharing service featuring pedal-assist electric bicycles. Developed in collaboration with the local enterprise E-bike Tarquinia, the service will utilize the Bike Boom digital platform, allowing users to access e-bikes via a mobile application.
The initiative aims to provide a sustainable alternative to automobiles for both daily commuting and leisure. The service is designed to support tourists staying in hotels, B&Bs, and agritourism sites outside the historic center, with options to request e-bike delivery directly to these accommodations.
Additionally, the project includes the creation of cycle-tourism itineraries accessible through QR codes. These routes will connect the historic center, coastal areas, archaeological sites, and the countryside, providing residents and visitors with information on local points of interest.
