Tarragona court upholds drunk driving sentence in Alforja accident

The Provincial Court of Tarragona has upheld a sentence against a woman for drunk driving following an incident in Alforja. The driver, who was operating a Seat Toledo, struck a garden fence in the Les Barqueres urbanization after consuming alcohol.

Instead of stopping at the scene, the driver continued until being intercepted by Mossos d’Esquadra on the T-11 near Reus. Testing revealed her alcohol levels were more than double the legal limit. The court imposed a fine of 1,350 euros, a 14-month driving ban, and ordered the defendant to pay 404 euros in damages to the property owner.
