Tarragona tenders project to restore Camí de la Fonteta archaeological site

The Tarragona City Council has launched a tender for 95,711 euros to develop an executive project for the consolidation and museumization of the Camí de la Fonteta archaeological remains. The project aims to restore and adapt the archaeological reserve located on Eivissa Street to make it accessible to the public.

The tender is divided into two lots. The first lot focuses on the consolidation and restoration of visible archaeological structures, requiring a diagnosis of their conservation status to prevent deterioration. The second lot involves the museumization and adaptation of the site, which includes designing visitor itineraries, walkways, accessibility systems, lighting, and signage to integrate the site into the urban environment. This follows initial stabilization and cleaning works completed earlier in 2026.
