Tarsus Municipality showcases mushroom production at Bartın festival

Tarsus Municipality participated in the Nature City Ulus Flavor Route Festival held in the Ulus district of Bartın on October 10-11, 2026. The municipality showcased its mushroom cultivation and agricultural production capabilities.

During the event, Sibel Güvençli, the Mushroom Production Facility Supervisor, served as a jury member for the ‘Best Local Mushroom Dish’ category. Musa Güvençli, President of the Mersin Chefs and Pastry Association and a volunteer instructor for the municipality, demonstrated various culinary applications using fresh and dried mushrooms produced in Tarsus.

The presentation also highlighted products from the Tarsus Municipality Fruit and Vegetable Drying and Packaging Facility. Participants were shown various types of mushrooms, including chestnut, oyster, and cap mushrooms, in both fresh and dried forms to demonstrate how agricultural products can be processed and diversified for gastronomy.
