Tart Bakery wins multiple awards at NZ Vegan Cake & Pastry Awards

Auckland’s Tart Bakery secured five category wins and the Supreme Award at the 2026 NZ Vegan Cake & Pastry Awards. The bakery, located in Grey Lynn, won for its Plain Croissant, Savoury Croissant, Almond Croissant, Pain au Chocolat, and Danish Pastry. Its Almond Croissant received the Supreme Award, with judges praising its texture, flavor, and the balance between its crunchy exterior and soft interior.

The competition, organized by the Vegan Society of Aotearoa New Zealand, recognizes innovation and craftsmanship in plant-based baking. Other notable performers included Richoux Patisserie, which won the Custard Square category, and Brumby’s Bakery Christchurch, which was runner-up in the Plain Croissant and Pain au Chocolat categories.
