Tartiflette: A traditional French potato and cheese casserole

Tartiflette is a traditional French dish originating from the Savoie region, characterized as a hearty casserole made with potatoes, onions, smoked bacon, and Reblochon cheese.

To prepare the dish, potatoes are boiled and sliced, then layered in a baking dish with a mixture of sautéed bacon, onions, garlic, and white wine. The dish is topped with halved Reblochon cheese and baked at 200 °C for approximately 15 to 20 minutes until the cheese is melted and golden. It is often served with crusty bread, pickles, or a green salad.
