Tartu Kunstimaja launches two new exhibitions

On Friday, 31 July at 18:00, Tartu Kunstimaja in Estonia opened two concurrent exhibitions. The first, "Inimesed" (People), is a solo show by painter and educator Maire Aarsalu, featuring figurative works that aim to capture the immediate emotional state of the models rather than traditional portraiture. Aarsalu, a member of the Tartu Artists' Union, teaches at the Pallas University of Applied Arts and the Tartu Art School.

The second exhibition, "P*RN*", is a group show by the art collective Multinektar. The show explores the blurred boundaries of erotic art, questioning definitions of pornography, fetish, and public exposure. Multinektar, founded in 2024 at the Higher Art School Pallas, includes 13 members and invited artists from outside the group. Both exhibitions run until 30 August and are supported by the Estonian Cultural Capital and the Tartu City Government.
