Tarun Chugh criticizes UPA rule at BJP workshop in Gujarat
Tarun Chugh, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in-charge for Gujarat, criticized the Congress-led UPA government during a state-level workshop in Gandhinagar. Chugh stated that between 2004 and 2014, India was left struggling with corruption, misgovernance, and terrorism.
Chugh credited Narendra Modi’s leadership since 2014 for steering the country toward development and good governance. He highlighted India’s economic growth, noting its transition from the world’s 11th largest economy to the 4th largest, maintaining a growth rate of 7.8 percent despite global conflicts.
The workshop was held ahead of the BJP’s ‘Seva Sankalp Abhiyan’, a month-long campaign running from September 17 to October 17 to commemorate 25 years of Narendra Modi in leadership roles, including his time as Chief Minister of Gujarat and Prime Minister of India.
