Tashkent universities forge new ties with UK and Kazakhstan

On 24 June 2026, Tashkent State University of Oriental Studies held an online meeting with the United Kingdom’s University of Sussex. The two institutions discussed establishing academic and scientific cooperation in fields such as English language and literature, history, anthropology, journalism and international relations, and agreed to pursue faculty and student exchanges, joint research projects and joint conferences.

Separately, Tashkent International University announced a semester‑long academic mobility programme for its students at Kokshetau University in Kazakhstan for the 2026‑27 fall semester. The programme covers law, information technology, education and business studies, giving participants exposure to an international learning environment, opportunities for cultural exchange and the chance to build global competencies.
