Tashmoo skiff line returns to production

The Tashmoo line of traditional outboard skiffs, originally a storied design from Martha’s Vineyard, has returned to production. David Reiter has acquired the molds for the vessels, which were previously built for over a decade in Massachusetts.

Mark Castlow is overseeing the new production at his Dragonfly Boatworks facility in Vero Beach, Florida. The current lineup includes 18-foot models powered by 40-hp outboards, capable of reaching speeds in the low-to-mid 30-mph range. Additionally, a 24-foot model is currently under testing. Three 18-foot versions are scheduled for display at the Newport International Boat Show in Rhode Island starting September 17.
