Tasmania Devils to build $115 million high-performance centre

The Tasmania Devils are developing a state-of-the-art high-performance centre at Kingston's Twin Ovals to support their men's and women's teams and administration staff. Fairbrother Construction has won the tender to build the facility, which has seen its funding increase from an original $70 million to $115 million.

The facility is expected to be one of the largest in the AFL, featuring extensive gym and training spaces. Devils chair Grant O'Brien stated that the centre will serve as a recruitment ‘ace’ to help attract and retain talent for the club's competitiveness by 2028.

While the full centre is slated for completion in 2028, the main training ground at Twin Ovals is scheduled to be ready for use by October 2027. Until then, elite programs will continue to operate out of the current Kingborough cricket and football clubrooms.
