TasNetworks appoints Renée Anderson as CEO

TasNetworks has officially appointed Renée Anderson as its new Chief Executive Officer following an extensive national search. Anderson, who has been with the company since 2021, previously held executive responsibilities for people, safety, environment, community, and stakeholder engagement. She had been serving as the interim CEO since June 2026, following the departure of Seán Mc Goldrick.

TasNetworks Chair Roger Gill stated that Anderson will lead the organization through a significant period of investment and major transmission developments intended to strengthen Tasmania’s energy future. Tasmanian Minister for Energy and Renewables Nick Duigan also expressed support for the appointment, noting the importance of the role for the state's energy sector.
