Tasos Bakasetas nears transfer to APOEL

Tasos Bakasetas, the captain of the Greek national team, is nearing a transfer to the Cypriot club APOEL. After being excluded from Panathinaikos' plans, the 33-year-old midfielder has arrived in Cyprus to undergo medical and ergometric examinations.

An agreement has reportedly been reached between the player and APOEL, with the contract expected to last between one and two years. Bakasetas spent approximately two and a half years at Panathinaikos, where he made 100 appearances, scoring 20 goals and providing 10 assists.
