Tasos Chalkias shares message of hope after home destroyed by wildfires

Greek actor Tasos Chalkias has shared his first message following the total destruction of his home in Porto Germeno during recent devastating wildfires. Approximately two weeks after the incident, Chalkias posted a handwritten poem on Instagram, offering a message of hope and resilience, stating, “Make pain a companion, with it you will rise again.”

The fires, which affected the Kithairon region and spread across Attica and Boeotia, destroyed over 144,000 acres of land. In Porto Germeno, the impact was severe, with more than 100 homes lost to the flames. Chalkias had previously expressed the profound personal loss of the property, noting the significant effort he had invested in building it and the loss of a potential inheritance for his children.
