Tasos Chatzigiovanis discusses failed donation attempt for terminally ill child

Footballer Tasos Chatzigiovanis appeared on ANT1 to discuss his emotional experience regarding a donation made to the NGO “Paidiki Chara.” The athlete had provided financial assistance to the organization to support a young boy named Dimitris, who was battling a neuroblastoma.

During a recent awards ceremony by the Professional Footballers Association of Greece (PSAPP), Chatzigiovanis became emotional while explaining that his intention was to provide the child with a second chance at life. He noted that he had been in contact with the boy's mother and had hoped for a positive outcome, but the child has since passed away.

Chatzigiovanis also addressed recent concerns regarding the NGO, stating that he was troubled by recent developments involving the organization. He clarified that he had personally initiated his donations and was never asked for money, only to share posts to raise awareness.
