Tasos Hajgiovanis honored for philanthropic work

Greek basketball player Tasos Hajgiovanis was honored at the 45th annual PSAPP awards for his philanthropic contributions. During the ceremony, Hajgiovanis spoke emotionally about a 12,500 euro donation he made to assist a child named Dimitris, who was battling cancer. Despite the financial support, the child unfortunately passed away.

Hajgiovanis used his speech to address recent concerns regarding a non-governmental organization (NGO) that allegedly exploited the names of public figures to collect donations for personal luxury rather than charitable causes. He urged donors to remain compassionate but to ensure that their assistance reaches those truly in need.
