TasteAtlas ranks Pizza Napoletana as the world's best pizza

The online portal TasteAtlas has released its “100 Top Pizzas in the World” ranking, based on over 14,000 valid community ratings. The top three positions are held by Italian varieties.

Pizza Napoletana from Naples secured first place with a score of 4.6. Characterized by a thin crust and airy, leopard-spotted edges, it is traditionally served as either Marinara or Margherita. Pizza bufalina took second place, featuring buffalo mozzarella and cherry tomatoes, followed by Pizza Margherita in third.

Other notable entries in the top five include Pizza alla diavola and the Roman-style Pizza al taglio. TasteAtlas stated that the ranking is intended to promote regional specialties and encourage curiosity about traditional dishes rather than serving as a definitive global judgment.
