TasteAtlas ranks top 100 German foods

The online portal TasteAtlas has released a ranking of the top 100 German foods, aiming to highlight regional specialties and encourage the discovery of traditional dishes. The ranking is based on over 18,000 reviews, of which 16,296 were deemed legitimate by the platform's evaluation mechanisms designed to filter out bot activity and local bias.

At the top of the list, three items shared a score of 4.3 points. The number one spot was awarded to Rinderbrust (beef brisket), a classic dish consisting of meat from the lower chest area of the beef, characterized by its high connective tissue content and two distinct muscle parts: the leaner ‘Flat’ and the more marbled ‘Point’. The top three also include two meat classics and a sweet pastry from Hamburg.
