Tasyi Athasyia sets MURI record for largest batik-motif cake
Food vlogger and influencer Tasyi Athasyia has achieved a record from the Museum Rekor Dunia Indonesia (MURI) for creating the largest cake with batik motifs. The achievement was made to celebrate the 81st anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia.
The cake consists of 12 sponge cake trays, each one meter long, totaling approximately 12 meters in length when arranged. The production process took over 55 hours, during which various traditional Indonesian batik motifs were hand-painted onto the surface. The project reportedly cost around Rp35 million.
Tasyi announced the achievement on her Instagram account, sharing photos of herself with the official MURI certificate and medal. This marks her second MURI record this year, following a previous record for the largest chocolate painting in June 2026.
