Tata Electronics cyber breach exposes Apple and Tesla design files

Indian technology firm Tata Electronics said it detected a recent cyber‑security incident after researchers found that the ransomware group World Leaks had posted what it described as design and specification documents for Apple and Tesla on the dark web. The leak includes more than 200,000 files totaling over 630 GB, some of which contain internal Apple factory data and Tesla model‑specific schematics.

Tata stated that its response protocols were activated, the breach did not affect its business activities and operations remain unaffected. Apple is conducting a full investigation and a source said Tata has received a ransom demand. The incident follows a previous attack on Tata’s Jaguar Land Rover subsidiary that halted production for six weeks. No ransom payment has been confirmed.
