Tata Motors launches Aeris compact sedan in India

Tata Motors has launched the Aeris, a new compact sedan designed to replace the outgoing Tigor in the Indian market. The vehicle is positioned to compete with models such as the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Honda Amaze, and Hyundai Aura.

Starting prices are set at Rs 5.29 lakh for petrol variants and Rs 6.29 lakh for iCNG models. The Aeris features a 1.2-litre, 3-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 84 BHP, while the CNG version produces 75 BHP. Both powertrains are available with 5-speed manual or AMT transmissions. The car will be sold in five variants: Smart, Pure, Pure+, Creative, and Accomplished.

Key technological features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto on higher trims, as well as ventilated front seats in the top-spec Accomplished variant. Safety and convenience features include a 360-degree camera and a blind-view monitor. Deliveries are scheduled to begin on October 11, 2026.
