Tata Motors raises Iveco Group takeover bid to 3.9 billion euros
Tata Motors has increased its voluntary takeover bid for the Italian commercial vehicle manufacturer Iveco Group. The offer has been raised from 14.10 euros to 14.40 euros per share, bringing the total maximum value of the deal to 3.91 billion euros, an increase of approximately 81 million euros over the initial proposal.
The Indian group stated that this new price is final and will not be subject to further increases. The decision follows a slight delay in the completion timeline due to regulatory authorization procedures in certain jurisdictions. The revised offer represents a 33.47% premium compared to Iveco's July 17, 2025, quotation.
As of October 8, 77.12 million shares, representing 28.43% of the total, had tendered to the offer. The tender period is scheduled to close on October 26. Tata Motors aims to acquire 100% of Iveco Group's capital and subsequently delist the company from the Borsa Italiana. The transaction also involves the separation of Iveco's defense activities, with the brands IDV and Astra slated for sale to Leonardo for 1.7 billion euros.
