Tata Motors to launch Aeris sedan in India on September 25

Tata Motors is preparing to launch the Tata Aeris in India on September 25, 2026. The new model is expected to succeed the Tata Tigor, potentially replacing the Tigor name in the company’s passenger car lineup.

Teasers suggest the Aeris will feature significant design and feature updates rather than a simple facelift. Exterior changes may include slimmer LED headlamps, new fog lamps, a redesigned front bumper with a larger air intake, and revised rear taillamps. While the notchback-style roofline is expected to remain, the vehicle will likely feature new alloy wheel designs.

The interior is anticipated to undergo a modern makeover, potentially incorporating elements from the updated Tiago. Expected features include a 10.25-inch touchscreen, digital or semi-digital driver displays, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, cruise control, and a 360-degree camera in top variants. The Aeris is expected to retain the 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine and may offer a CNG option, positioning it to compete with the Maruti Suzuki Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Honda Amaze.
