Tata Motors unveils TATA. CARS brand identity

Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd (TMPV) has unveiled a new consumer-facing global brand identity, ‘TATA. CARS’, to unify its entire passenger vehicle portfolio. The new master brand will encompass hatchbacks, sedans, SUVs, internal combustion engine (ICE) vehicles, and electric vehicles (EVs) under a single umbrella.

The rebranding aims to formalize the colloquial way Indian consumers have long referred to the company’s products as ‘Tata cars’. Accompanied by the new global brand promise, ‘Nothing’s Too Far’, the identity will be rolled out across digital platforms, retail showrooms, service centers, and marketing communications. The company also introduced a new visual language featuring ‘Parallel Pathways’ and a new typeface called ‘Parallel Display’.

While the consumer-facing identity is changing, the company’s legal entity, Tata Motors Passenger Vehicles Ltd, remains unchanged for statutory, regulatory, and investor communications. The dedicated EV sub-brand, ‘Tata. ev’, will continue to operate under the new master brand. Shailesh Chandra, MD & CEO of TMPV, stated that the move is a ‘declaration of intent for the future’, positioning the company to evolve alongside changing technology and customer aspirations.
