Tata Power commissions 400kV transmission corridor in Uttar Pradesh

Tata Power has commissioned the 400kV Jalpura-Khurja transmission corridor in Uttar Pradesh. The project, executed through its subsidiary TP Jalpura Khurja Power Transmission Limited, includes 162 circuit kilometres of 400 kV double-circuit transmission lines and a 400/220 kV Gas Insulated Substation (GIS) at Jalpura with a 1,000 MVA transformation capacity.

The new infrastructure is designed to strengthen power transmission connectivity for the National Capital Region (NCR) and Western Uttar Pradesh, specifically supporting demand centres in the Noida region. The high-voltage link aims to improve grid reliability, resilience, and operational efficiency to meet rising electricity demands from industrial, commercial, and residential sectors.
