Chiapas highway collision leaves one dead and 15 injured

A fatal head-on collision occurred on the Panamericana highway in Chiapas, specifically on the Ocozocoautla-Cintalapa stretch near the La Jota-Puente Las Flores area. The accident involved a passenger bus and a vehicle belonging to the Guardia Nacional.

The crash resulted in one death and left approximately 15 to 16 people injured. Emergency response teams and Civil Protection brigades from Ocozocoautla and Cintalapa attended the scene to provide aid.

Among the injured, 11 individuals were transported by land to a local hospital, while four others, identified as members of the Guardia Nacional, required aerial transport to the Military Hospital of the VII Military Region due to the severity of their injuries. Authorities are investigating whether speeding or lane invasion caused the impact.
