Tate Britain hosts ‘The 90s: Art and Fashion’ exhibition
Tate Britain is hosting a landmark exhibition titled ‘The 90s: Art and Fashion’, curated by Edward Enninful OBE. The exhibition examines the creative energy and visual culture that reshaped British culture during the 1990s, incorporating photography, painting, film, sculpture, and clothing.
Alexander McQueen is supporting the exhibition by loaning archival looks from its 1990s runway shows. Featured pieces include a tulle dress with red glass bugle beads from the Fall/Winter 1998 ‘Joan’ collection, an aluminium armour piece, a calfskin jacket with impala horns from the Fall/Winter 1997 ‘It’s a Jungle Out There’ collection, and a coiled aluminium corset by Shaun Leane from the Fall/Winter 1999 ‘The Overlook’ collection.
The show will also feature works by other notable figures, including Vivienne Westwood, Tracey Emin, Damien Hirst, Corinne Day, and Juergen Teller. The exhibition is scheduled to run from 8 October 2026 to 14 February 2027.
