Tate brothers face extradition request from UK amid serious criminal allegations

British authorities have filed extensive court documents in the United States to support the extradition of social media influencers Andrew and Tristan Tate. The documents allege the brothers used a ‘lover boy’ model to lure vulnerable women with promises of romantic relationships, only to coerce them into producing online pornography through physical and sexual violence, threats, and intimidation.

Prosecutors claim the brothers encouraged women to relocate to their base in Romania, where they became financially dependent on the Tates and often had their passports confiscated. The legal filings include allegations of rape, human trafficking, and the possession and distribution of indecent images of a minor. Specifically, investigators claim to have found 168 indecent images and videos of a 17-year-old girl on Andrew Tate’s devices, some of which were allegedly shared via WhatsApp.

Andrew and Tristan Tate, who hold dual British and American citizenship, were arrested in Miami in July. They have denied all allegations of wrongdoing. Defense attorney Joseph McBride has challenged the extradition request, arguing that the accusations cannot be meaningfully tested because the identities of the accusers have not been disclosed to the defense.
