Tate McRae announces new single ‘Housewife’

Canadian pop singer Tate McRae has announced that her upcoming single, ‘Housewife’, is scheduled for release on October 15, 2026. The announcement was made via social media alongside new artwork featuring the singer in a red bikini next to a stroller filled with cash.

The release marks the beginning of a new musical era for McRae, following the success of her third studio album, ‘So Close to What’, which debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 in 2025. Her previous achievements include the Billboard Hot 100 No. 1 single ‘What I Want’, a collaboration with Morgan Wallen.

Hints regarding this new artistic direction were previously seen during her headlining performance at Lollapalooza in Chicago, where she utilized Greco-Roman-inspired visuals and a gold-paint performance as part of a concept titled ‘The Anatomy of a Popstar’.
