Tate McRae releases new single and music video Housewife

Canadian singer Tate McRae has released her new single and music video, “Housewife,” via RCA Records. The track explores themes of independence and autonomy, with McRae singing about financial self-sufficiency and personal freedom.

The music video, directed by Pierre-Ange Carlotti and featuring choreography by Sergio Reis, was filmed in the South of France. The visual narrative utilizes luxury settings, including a mansion, a pool, and a yacht, to complement the song’s themes. The video contains various stylistic nods to pop icon Britney Spears, such as a sailor cap reminiscent of the “Toxic” music video and scenes involving tabloid reading similar to the “Piece of Me” video.
