Tatenda Josephina Rameau crowned Miss Universe Haiti 2026

Tatenda Josephina Rameau has been crowned Miss Universe Haiti 2026. The coronation took place on Sunday, August 23, at the Little Haiti Cultural Complex in Miami, Florida.

Representing the district of Les Cayes, Rameau succeeds Melissa Sapini. Rameau brings a diverse professional background to the title; she is an actress, writer, producer, and former speechwriter for Fortune 500 companies. A graduate of Wellesley College, she is currently pursuing a master's degree in journalism at Georgetown University.

Rameau, who grew up between the United States, France, and Ghana, intends to use her platform to promote her initiative, ‘Found in Translation,’ which utilizes arts and cultural exchange to foster dialogue. She is scheduled to represent Haiti at the 75th Miss Universe competition in San Juan, Puerto Rico, on November 24, 2026.
