Tateshina Lake Resort announces guided Shinshu wine tour

Tateshina Lake Resort has announced a specialized two-day bus tour titled ‘Shinshu Wine Journey for Adults,’ scheduled to depart on October 23, 2026. The tour is designed to connect travelers with the diverse wine regions of Nagano Prefecture by visiting both the emerging Chikuma River Wine Valley and the historic Kikyo-ga-hara Wine Valley.

To address the difficulty of visiting multiple wineries without a personal driver, the tour includes a professional sommelier to provide expert commentary on grape varieties and terroir throughout the journey. Participants will visit notable sites such as Villa del Dest Garden & Winery and Goichi Wine, and enjoy a pairing lunch in Narai-juku.

The experience concludes with a special pairing dinner at Tateshina Lake Resort, featuring ‘Shinshu Cuisine’ and selected local wines. The dinner will include a guest appearance by a winemaker to offer insights into the production process.
