Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route to Host Free Street Piano in Sep 2026
The Tateyama Kurobe Alpine Route will hold a three‑day street‑piano event from 11 to 13 September 2026 on the roof of the Murodo Terminal (about 2,450 m altitude). The upright piano will be open for anyone to play free of charge; attendees must cover their own travel fare and the event may be cancelled in case of rain.
Special guests include acoustic music duo Toy le Cant, which will perform on 12 September at 11:30 and 13:30, and the folk group Super Climbing Club (Key Oda and vocalist Hina), scheduled for 13 September at 12:30 and 13:30. The venue also provides reclining chairs for a relaxed listening space.
A pre‑event will take place at Toyama Station on 15 August 2026 (10:00‑14:00). Visitors can audition on‑site or submit a video on Instagram or X using the hashtag #立山ストリートピアノ between 1 August and 31 August. Five winners, selected by lottery, will receive round‑trip tickets to Murodo.
