Tati Barbieri renewed as Salgueiro muse for Brazilian Carnival

Influencer Tati Barbieri has been officially renewed as a muse and luxury ambassador for the Salgueiro samba school for the upcoming Brazilian Carnival season. Barbieri, who participates alongside her daughter Sthe, has spent the last four years investing in the community through high-end costumes, pre-carnival events like ‘Tati Folia’, and digital mobilization.

Salgueiro’s upcoming parade at the Marquês de Sapucaí will feature a theme centered on the life of Xica da Silva. The school intends to use unprecedented documents, including the testament of Francisca da Silva, to present a historical reinterpretation of the figure. The parade aims to explore themes of blackness, ancestry, resistance, and female protagonism, revisiting a narrative that previously led the school to a historic title in 1963.
