Tatiana Kukuľková wins European table tennis gold in doubles

Slovak table tennis player Tatiana Kukuľková won the gold medal in women's doubles at the European Championships in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Partnering with Poland's Natalia Bajor, the duo secured the title by defeating the tenth-seeded Polish pair, Zuzanna Wielgosová and Anna Brzyska, with a 3-0 set victory (14-12, 11-8, 12-11).

The victory follows a strong semifinal performance where Kukuľková and Bajor defeated the top-seeded Romanian pair, Bernadette Szöcsová and Elizabeta Samarová, in straight sets. This achievement marks Kukuľková's greatest career success and returns a European title to Slovakia in women's doubles after two years.
